FAQ
Is it really free?
Yes. Nick already paid for the room. No ticket, no cover, no minimum. One ask: if you order food or drinks, tip your waiter or waitress handsomely. They’re working our party.
Do I have to buy food or drinks?
Nope. Order whatever you want from Back Forty’s menu, or nothing at all.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes! It’s all ages and Back Forty is family friendly. Count kids in your party size, since they need seats too.
Can I bring friends?
Yes. Add them to your party size when you RSVP (up to 10). Bigger group than that? RSVP for 10 and Nick will text you to sort out the rest.
Why do you need my phone number?
Nick will personally text everyone who RSVPs before the party with any updates. Your info is only used for this event and is deleted afterwards.
I didn’t get the confirmation email.
Check your spam and promotions folders first. Still nothing? Submit the form again with the same email and we’ll resend it. Your RSVP holds your spot for 24 hours (2 hours on Nov 13–14) until you click the link.
How does the waitlist work?
Once all 40 seats are claimed, new RSVPs go on the waitlist. If someone cancels, we move people up and email them. A group that doesn’t fit in the open seats goes on the waitlist together, so your group never gets split up.
What if I’m running late?
Come anyway. Your RSVP is a headcount, not an assigned seat. It’s a best of five, so there’s plenty of match left.
Can I wear a jersey or cosplay?
Please do. Team jerseys, cosplay, a Poro hat: all welcome.
Where do I park?
Back Forty has its own parking lot, and that’s where the event is. Park there and head inside and upstairs.
Is it accessible?
The watch room is upstairs and there’s no elevator that we know of. If stairs are a problem for you or someone in your group, text Nick after you RSVP and we’ll work something out.
Plans changed. How do I cancel?
Use the cancel link in your confirmation email, or text Nick. It frees your seat for someone on the waitlist.
Is this an official Riot event?
No. It’s a fan-run meetup from one guy who wanted to watch Worlds with other League fans.
Your host
Hey, I’m Nick.
I started playing League around age 12, back in Season 2, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I studied computer science in California (which is why my number has a 951 area code), played way too much with my college roommates, and I’ve lived in four countries outside the US since then.
Every year I watch Worlds in a big Discord call, and every year I tell myself I’ll go in person. This year I tried for New York tickets and didn’t even get invited to buy. So I figured: if I can’t go to Worlds, I’ll bring Worlds to Huntsville. Beer, an 80-inch TV, and a room full of local League fans.
I’m a Kog’Maw one-trick who plays mid and ADC. My wife used to duo bot lane with me. Then we had kids, and now it’s just me in the mid lane.
